Belgrade "won't sit idle" awaiting Pristina's decision

"We will not, as they expect, sit idle, nervously awaiting what their Constitutional Court will say. We're not interested in that at all. We have an agreed and signed agreement, we have deadlines, so please gentlemen implement what has been agreed," Djuric told Tanjug, reacting to Kosovo minister Edita Tahiri's statement that if the Constitutional Court of Kosovo finds the deal was unconstitutional, "it will one again be the subject of the dialogue."

Speaking about the obstruction of the agreement on the ZSO, Djuric said that the Constitutional Court in Pristina has suspended the implementation of the Brussels agreement on the ZSO until January 12, by which time, he said, it should supposedly assess the constitutionality of this document.

"With this campaign in Pristina media and in the political public, it is not difficult to imagine what will the outcome will be," Djuric said, adding that it is clear that Pristina "does not intend to create conditions for the formation of the ZSO within the time limit specified unambiguously in Brussels."

Djuric added that it is "widely known" that the ZSO was the main motivation for Belgrade's participation in the Brussels dialogue, and the main motivation for Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija to participate in Kosovo's political life, "and that is why Belgrade will not accept Pristina's game."
