Aleksandar Vucic says the goal of his visit to Moscow is to, in meetings with Russia's leaders, achieve "important and good results for citizens of Serbia."

Clear relations between Serbia and Russia important - PM
"We can develop our trade relations even further, to a higher degree. We can do much to improve political cooperation. Russia always appears as one of the three most important trade partners of the Republic of Serbia. We think that there is much room for improvement of our cooperation in the area of construction, agriculture, and industry of course, but also the defense industry. Many agreements can be made," said Vucic.He stressed that it was important for Serbia and Russia have "clear relations and accounts" as that is the easiest and best basis to build good relations.
"It is important to reach an agreement on the repayment of the old debt to Gazprom which we have because gas was not paid for during some previous governments," he told Sputnik.
Noting that Serbia is a rare country in Europe that has not introduced sanctions against the Russian Federation, Vucic said that the goal is to build good political relations, "and that is why it is important to continue to develop such a policy and a policy of (Serbian) military neutrality."
"I think this is a good signal to the Russian Federation that we can improve our traditional friendship in the interest of both peoples, in the interests of our citizens, and I think especially because this is a three-day visit, it amply shows how significant our relations are and how much we can do in the future," concluded Vucic.
