Dacic: Kitarovic's statement non-European

The EU has said several times that putting up fences and walls on borders does not constitute a European response, Dacic told daily Danas.

In an interview for Jutarnji list daily, the Croatian president said that she has been advocating absolute border control since the very beginning of the refugee crisis as a task for which, as she said, armed forces and police services in the region have both the capacities and equipment.

Only a day before Grabar's statement, Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic said the country would not build walls or put up fences.
