Vucic and his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang reached an agreement on this project at a meeting in Belgrade in December last year, the government's media relations office said.

The Serbian PM and the Chinese ambassador also discussed the potential for implementation of new road infrastructure projects, as well as agriculture and exports of Serbian food products to China.

The topics on the agenda included cooperation in the production of construction machinery and trucks, as part of China's investment in Serbia, along with the potential for exports to the Chinese market. The two officials underlined the vast potential for cooperation in the field of information technologies and software development.

Vucic accepted the invitation to participate in the meeting of heads of government of China and 16 Central and Eastern European countries, which will be held in Beijing by the end of 2015.

The Serbian prime minister pointed to the country's tourist potential and invited the Chinese tourists to visit Serbia, said the statement.
