Seselj once again sets Croatian flags on fire

The protest, that ended peacefully, was called on the 20th anniversary

of Croatia's military and police campaign known as Operation Storm.

The N1 broadcaster said that at the start of the protest SRS supporters attempted but failed to break through a police cordon set up in front of the embassy.

Seselj said that Serbia has for 20 years been ruled by regimes that are "not people's" and which have "formally recognized the Ustasha Croatian state by opening its embassy in the Serbian capital."

"We won't allow that for long. We did not ask you here to solve anything quickly, but soon we will gain power and we will decide the road that Serbia will take," he said.

Seselj added that his party and Serb patriots will never recognize "the independent Croatian Ustasha state as long as the occupation of the Republic of Serb Krajina continues."

"I am warning those currently ruling in Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic and Tomislav Nikolic, that they have no right to forgive the Croats anything on behalf of the Serb people," he said, adding that "there can be no forgiveness until the Serb land has been recuperated," and that only the victims can forgive.

The SRS leader said that Serbia will not again go to war with Croatia, a member of the EU and NATO, but that Serbs will not forget what is Serb and will gain back Krajina and Kosovo.

Seselj also stated that Serbia should not agree to arbitrage in the Danube border dispute with Croatia, "because it will lose."
