PM invited to visit Washington again

The Serbian prime minister and the U.S. vice president were supposed to meet in early July when Vucic was in Washington, but the meeting was canceled due to Biden's family tragedy.

EU path and energy security

During her meeting with Vucic, Nuland said that the U.S. supports Serbia's EU path and intends to help the country ensure its energy security.

The Serbian prime minister and the U.S. assistant secretary of state met for a working lunch to discuss the bilateral relations, Serbia's European integration, the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, and the situation in the region, particularly in Bosnia and Macedonia.

Vucic stressed that the priority of Serbia's foreign policy is EU membership, the Serbian government's media relations office said.

The prime minister added that Belgrade intends to continue the dialogue with Pristina, so that the solutions that will contribute to the preservation of regional stability could be reached in the shortest possible time.

"Political and economic stability is key to the development of the region, and Serbia will not abandon the policy leading towards that goal,“ Vucic stressed.
