Apart from wishing to continue with constructive talks in Brussels, Serbia also wants people from Kosovo-Metohija to have a normal life, Dacic said at a conference dubbed "European Security Policy at the Crossroads."

If Pristina believes there is nothing to discuss with Belgrade in Brussels, than it should resolve the issues of northern Kosovo and Peace Park all by itself, he said.

Serbs in the northern part of the divided town last year removed a barricade from the main bridge, and later built "a park" in its place, with the goal "protecting themselves from attacks by ethnic Albanians from southern part," Tanjug reported.

"You have to comprehend reality - that Serbia does not have full sovereignty over a large part of Kosovo, but that Kosovo does not have sovereignty over the north either," Dacic pointed out.

The foreign minister again said the issue of Kosovo has not been resolved, adding that Pristina should not perceive the talks on the normalization of relations with Belgrade as Serbia's weakness, but rather as its strength.

"Defeat"

Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic stated on Friday that Swiss government's decision to extradite wartime commander for the Muslim forces Naser Oric to Bosnia-Hercegovina and not Serbia is a failure of the fight against war crimes.

"The decision is political and it is not based on the established facts about the essence of the deeds Oric is charged with", Dacic told the journalists following his speech at the conference dubbed "European Security Policy at the Crossroads".

He pointed out the tragedy of the politicization of this issue and the lack of discussions on the essence - whether and when Oric will be convicted for the acts he committed, stressed Dacic.

This is precisely why the decision of the Swiss government represents a defeat of the alleged request for fight against war crimes and sanctions against those who committed them, Dacic said.
