It was said on the occasion that the visit would "contribute to even greater improvement of bilateral relations."

Vucic and Kirby "discussed political and economic relations between the two countries, but also the possibility for new U.S. investments in Serbian economy, especially in the field of agricultural production."

The U.S. ambassador said that the reform measures taken by the Serbian government have begun to produce tangible results, as it is noticeable that the economic situation in the country is improving.

The two officials also agreed that progress in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue on normalization of relations has been made, the Serbian government's media relations office said in a statement.

The Serbian PM pointed out that his country is fully committed to its EU path and political and economic stability of the region, as the basis for progress in all the countries of the Western Balkans.

Vucic and Kirby also discussed several regional and international issues, particularly in the light of Serbia's current OSCE chairmanship, the statement reads.
