"Albanians deserve better than circus politics"

Marko Djuric has commented on announcements of "national unification of Albanians" to say that they "deserve more responsible politics."

"Albanians deserve better than circus politics"

According to Rama, this was done "through the EU."

Serbian Justice Minister Nikola Selakovic on Monday referred to the statement as a push to create a so-called Greater Albania, and "called on the EU to oppose it."

Djuric reacted on Tuesday by saying that Albanians deserve a policy that will not speak about "one country, one people, one dream," as such moves resemble "circus and confrontational gestures rather than serious politics."

"This dream that they are trying to impose on their people, beside remaining unfinished forever, will also solve no economic, political, or other problems faced by Albanians in Albania and in Kosovo and Metohija, and I don't see that it will in any way contribute to normalization of relations, reconciliation and a normal life along each other in the region, all of which are sorely needed," Djuric observed.

Commenting on the anniversary of the start of NATO's aggression on our country, this official said that March 24, 1999 is a date that "all of Serbia remembers with pain and bitterness."

Djuric noted that the attack started without a declaration of war, "for no valid reason and cause, contrary to international law, and with the goal of occupying a part of our territory (Kosovo) and changing the constitutional order there."

"To this day the consequences of the 1999 war have not been removed, 250,000 Serbs remain exiled in central Serbia, Pristina, Djakovica, Pec, and Prizren have been ethnically cleansed (of Serbs), and that is an open wound in the hearts of all Serbs," said he.
