Belgrade wants Trepca put on dialogue agenda

Djuric emphasized the importance of opening talks about property "as soon as possible" and that these should include not only the Trepca mining giant, but all businesses in Kosovo.

As he explained, Trepca is owned by companies from Serbia, by Serbia and the citizens who built it.

"Ore deposits are largely located also in the territory of central Serbia, and in the last quarter 80 percent of the ore that was extracted from Trepca came from this part of Serbia," Djuric said.

According to him, the Serbian government will remain committed to resolving all problems in Kosovo through dialogue.

"Progress can be achieved only if we find solutions with Pristina, by means of making agreements about the future," he was quoted as saying.
