PM sends greetings on Serb Republic Day

Aleksandar Vucic sent on Friday greetings to officials of the Serb Republic (Republika Srpska, RS), as the Serb entity in Bosnia-Herzegovina is marking its day.

PM sends greetings on Serb Republic Day

Vucic sent the greetings to RS President Milorad Dodik and Prime Minister Zeljka Cvijanovic.

"I am convinced that the relations between Serbia and the RS will continue to develop to mutual benefit and in the interest of peace and stability in the region, and that by working together, we will be able to face the growing challenges ahead," the message to Dodik states.

Vucic wished the people of the Serb entity peace and prosperity and he wished Dodik a lot of success in his work.

In the message sent to Cvijanovic, Vucic said he sincerely wished prosperity for the RS and happiness and well-being for its people.

"I am convinced that the economic relations, as well as cooperation in other areas between Serbia and the RS, will move forward," he stressed.

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic also on Friday sent a message to Milorad Dodik, expressing "sincere greetings and wishing luck and prosperity to all the people of the RS on behalf of himself and the people of Serbia," the presidential press service said.

The Serb Republic was established on January 9, 1992, then under the name "the Serb Republic Bosnia-Herzegovina," by the Assembly of the Serb People in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
