Representatives of Serbia's official institutions had not been employed as observers in the electoral process in the east of Ukraine on November 2.

Foreign Ministry: No observers in Ukraine

The ministry stressed that Serbia supported the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.

Serbia supports the continuation of the peace process with the firm belief that only dialogue can lead to a solution that will be in compliance with international law and with respect for the UN Charter, according to a release from the MFA.

This came after the authorities in Kiev summoned the Serbian ambassador there when it emerged two members of parliament had traveled to Donetsk as private citizens on Sunday.
