Dačić welcomed Moro and pointed out that Serbia and France had "a tradition of friendship and were allies and won a number of victories together in the First World War."

The two officials "agreed that the relations between the two countries had improved, along with political dialogue, caused by an exchange of visits by top officials and strengthening of the strategic partnership," the ministry stated.

Dačić thanked Moro for France's continuous support to Serbia's EU integration and remarked that EU membership was "one of the priorities in Serbia's foreign policy."

He also noted that there was a significant number of French companies operating in Serbia, adding that he expected the investments from France to go up.

Moro believes the friendly relations between the two countries will continue to improve and commended Serbia on its efforts in EU integration.

She particularly stressed "the symbolic significance" of a meeting of ministers of foreign affairs and finances from the Western Balkans that will be held in Belgrade on Thursday, adding she was pleased that France's Prime Minister Manuel Valls will visit Belgrade November 6-7.
