Kosovo dialogue to continue on September 4

It will continue on September 4 with meeting of a working group which is to discuss "the current course" of the agreement on integrated administrative crossing, and there will be other discussions, Đurić said.

He stressed that he does not expect "big topics" to be successfully solved before the political situation in the province stabilizes, and before a new provincial government that has full legitimacy has been formed in Priština.

Đurić also told reporters that politicians in Priština are responsible for the poor implementation of the Brussels agreement. He believes that the responsibility for the inadequate, slow and poor implementation rests "entirely on irresponsible politicians in Priština."

According to him, "the Brussels agreement is not a buffet table from which authorities in Priština can take only what they like." Đurić added that the agreement was not implemented in the part that refers to the creation of a framework for the establishment of a community of Serb municipalities.

In Kosovo, the criticism coming from Belgrade is rejected, and claims made instead that that the post-election crisis does not prevent the continuation of the talks in Brussels.

Kosovo's Constitutional Court ruled that new elections were not a way out of the impasse and said Hashim Thaci's party should nominate assembly speaker, while negotiations on forming a government should take place afterwards.

However, analyst Fatmir Seholi believes that the Priština delegation will not have the legitimacy to talk in Brussels on September 4. Priština has to form its institutions to be able to continue the negotiations, said Seholi.

One of the main topics of the new meeting, confirmed also by Kosovo government official Edita Tahiri, should be the so-called integrated management of administrative crossings.
