"Necessity of reforms must be explained"

Although the government will be a strong one, it is important that the opinions of other parties, the opposition in parliament, are heard too, because the crisis and the problems can only be overcome by joint efforts, Bohnet told Tanjug.

"I believe that it is very important that the government communicates with the citizens through the parliament and the media and explain why the reforms are necessary," he said.

The reforms must be carried out in the next few months and the future government will face the task of continuing the European integration process, so it is important to have key laws that will allow for progress in the process of the talks with the EU and normalizing ties with Priština, Bohnet said.

"However, improving the economy is the most important task, but so far there have not been many signs that the economy is out of crisis, and I believe that this should be the focus of the new government," he said.

Legislation such as the labor law is very important for creating a framework for kick-starting the economy, Bohnet said.
