FM: Schroeder's statement comes too late

Mrkić also "reiterated that Serbia advocates the adherence to the international law in all circumstances," Tanjug reported.

“There are no doubts, the international law was violated on the occasion. This is a common knowledge in Serbia. I am just a bit sorry that the statement came too late,” Mrkić, who is on a visit to Armenia, told the news agency..

Mrkić underlined that Serbia "has always been in favor of a strict adherence to the international law in all circumstances regardless of the country in question be it a small, medium or large one."

Schroeder told for the German daily Die Zeit that the developments in Crimea constitute a violation of international law, adding that the NATO attack on Serbia in 1999 was also a violation of the international law.
