SNS leader expects his party to win "more than 40%"

"I live to achieve a result for Serbia, for people to see it, and even those who personally do not like me are saying they are happy that the Arab loan will save more than EUR 300 million for the country," the deputy PM was quoted as saying by the daily Blic.

Asked if he was "afraid of the amount of power he has and will have," Vučić said he was afraid "of the huge responsibility and inability to reach everywhere, to achieve everything he wants."

Asked who he would enter a post-election coalition with, he said he "does not think about it, but it's clear who it will not be."

"Sometimes I smile when I hear that some are saying they will not join us, and we did not even invite them. As if they were the ones who had 40 percent," Vučić commented.

Asked whether Boris Tadić's NDS or Ivica Dačić's SPS were "closer" to him, Vučić stated he "respected them all and listened to what they had to say," and described his work with Dačić so far as "correct."

"Boris Tadić surprised me when he referred to 'Belgrade on the Water' project as election manipulation. Tadić knows me, he must know who the people we work with are, he knows the importance of this project for Serbia," said Vučić.

He added he also "respects the position of Čedomir Jovanović, who reacted responsibly when some, referring to the Ukrainian scenario, said that Serbia was fed up with Ukrainian, Bosnian and other scenarios."

According to Vučić Serbia will get a new cabinet after the March 16 voting "much faster than the previous one if the SNS gains the trust of the majority," and that he wanted this new government to include people who can contribute to the progress of Serbia.

"There should be as broad political consensus as possible. We do not want all the power. On the contrary. I want us to achieve all that we have to in order to join the EU by 2018, and then let the EU say whether they're fed up with enlargement or not," Vučić said.

Commenting on his previous statements anticipating that "tycoons would launch a dirty campaign" against his party, Vučić said that "such strikes did happen." Vučić also believes that many parties are campaigning solely on their "hatred" toward him, and that they are "financially linked."

He believes that it is "not the job of the opposition to criticize things that are good."

Asked whether Serbia could face social unrest, the SNS leader said unrest was always possible "when people see that you are dishonest, corrupt."

In case he becomes Serbia's new prime minister, Vučić said he would dedicate himself primarily to legislative reform in the area of creating a better business environment.

Asked whether the government would include Tomislav Nikolić's people, Vučić said he respected the president, while there would be a place in the government "for all those who are doing good work."

Asked if Ivica Dačić, how serving as prime minister and interior minister, "will remain interior minister" after the elections, Vučić replied by saying that he "did not engage in speculation."
