Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić has left for Johannesburg where he will attend the official memorial service for Nelson Mandela.

BELGRADE Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic has left for Johannesburg where he will attend the official memorial service for Nelson Mandela. The first democratically elected president of South Africa and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize died last week. Nikolic to attend memorial service for Mandela The memorial service will take place on December 10, at the Soccer City stadium in Johannesburg. Nikolic is accompanied by Serbia's Foreign Minister Ivan Mrkic and Presidential Advisor Marko Djuric, the president's press office released. Mandela will be laid to rest in his hometown of Qunu on December 15, after ten days of national mourning which was declared in South Africa. According to media reports, the memorial will be attended by more than 50 heads of state and government, along with ministers, members of royal families, and other public figures from abroad.
