“Relations with Montenegro constantly improving”

BECICI Serbian PM Ivica Dacic said after a meeting with his Montenegrin counterpart Milo Djukanovic on Thursday that two countries’ relations were constantly improving. He said that they had discussed a possibility of joint sessions of the two governments. “Relations with Montenegro constantly improving” The Serbian PM told reporters that the relations between Serbia and Montenegro “are free from some problems that existed in the previous period”. “I think that relations between Montenegro and Serbia are relaxed from some problems that were present in the previous period and that we can expect our relations to be closer and more solid in the next period,” Dacic stressed. The two prime ministers are taking part in the Summit 100 Business Leaders of Southeast Europe in the coastal Montenegrin town of Becici. The Serbian prime minister said that he would pay an official visit to Montenegro in September. He added that he and Djukanovic had also discussed joint projects and experience in the EU integration and mutual support so both countries could join the EU as soon as possible. “We also talked about an idea of holding joint annual sessions of the two governments, once in Serbia and once in Montenegro, in order to strengthen our unity and friendship and to work in the interest of our citizens. This means that things we do not agree on will not be a priority in our relations and that we will look for points that will lead us forward together,” Dacic concluded.
