WASHINGTON Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic has said he had good talks on economic and political topics during his visit to the U.S. He noted that strategic cooperation between the two countries was possible. PM: Strategic cooperation with U.S. is possible Summarizing the results of his week-long visit, Dacic told Serbian reporters in Washington that Serbia's image in the U.S. had changed. According to the Serbian prime minister, the meetings with U.S. Vice President Joe Biden and at the State Department were very good and resulted in the conclusion it was possible to build a new partnership, i.e. strategic cooperation. "As a small country, Serbia has to seek support for its positions everywhere in the world, especially in the U.S.," said Dacic. Speaking about the talks on economic issues, he said he expected results in the form of American IT companies coming to Serbia by the end of the year. "I am very satisfied with the results of the visit because we have done a lot to spark interest among the world's largest IT companies to come to Serbia," said the Serbian prime minister, adding the Serbian delegation had encouraged them to see Serbia not only as a market for selling their products, but also a source of scientific and research work and possible joint production. The prime minister said the management of Microsoft and Oracle would come to Serbia in the second half of the year and that representatives of Apple and Google had also promised to visit. Summarizing the results of his week-long visit, Dačić told Serbian reporters in Washington that Serbia's image in the U.S. had changed.

According to the Serbian prime minister, the meetings with U.S. Vice President Joe Biden and at the State Department were very good and resulted in the conclusion it was possible to build a new partnership, i.e. strategic cooperation.

Speaking about the talks on economic issues, he said he expected results in the form of American IT companies coming to Serbia by the end of the year.

"I am very satisfied with the results of the visit because we have done a lot to spark interest among the world's largest IT companies to come to Serbia," said the Serbian prime minister, adding the Serbian delegation had encouraged them to see Serbia not only as a market for selling their products, but also a source of scientific and research work and possible joint production.

The prime minister said the management of Microsoft and Oracle would come to Serbia in the second half of the year and that representatives of Apple and Google had also promised to visit.

Dačić also said representatives of IBM would come up with a proposal for joint projects in the next month.
