BELGRADE It is possible that the EU will give its interpretation of the Brussels deal, says chair of the Parliamentary Committee for Kosovo and Metohija Milovan Drecun. Serbia's political parties have divided opinions on this possible additional arbitration. "EU could give its interpretation of Brussels agreement" Head of EU Delegation to Serbia Vincent Deger said previously that unless teams for implementation of the agreement agreed on a plan, additional arbitration at a higher political level may be needed. Drecun, an MP of the ruling SNS party, sees the cause for such announcements "in the behavior of Pristina." The United Regions of Serbia (URS), who are a part of the ruling coalition, doubt the objectivity of possible arbitration, while the opposition Liberal Democrats (LDP) believe that such a solution would not necessarily be bad. The opposition Democratic Party of Serbia, on the other hand, sees it as yet attempt to confirm Kosovo as independent. Drecun told reporters on Tuesday that because of Pristina's attempts to, through its implementation, "rewrite" the agreement reached on April 19, a new meeting at a higher political level could be expected - "or the EU could give its interpretation of what has been agreed." "It is obvious that Pristina is trying to, through the determining of an implementation plan, impose some solutions that do not comply with the agreement," he said. According to him, Pristina "actually wants to somehow rewrite what it does not consider to be in its interest, and impose other solutions." According to Drecun, "specific solutions that should be achieved on the basis of the Brussels agreement, which has generally defined places, will certainly be very problematic and difficult to negotiate in the coming period." "So it could easily happen that the EU gives its own interpretation of what was agreed in Brussels," reiterated Drecun. He also stated that the EU expects "accelerated pace of implementation of the agreement and the start of its application." Tanjug
