BELGRADE The EU has a formula for an agreement between Belgrade and Pristina that both sides have accepted, Belgrade-based daily Blic writes. The daily claims that only certain details still need to be worked out. “EU has formula for Belgrade-Pristina agreement” According to the agreement, Pristina will transfer new powers to Serb municipalities while the municipalities will transfer their powers to the Community of Serb Municipalities. Four northern Kosovo municipalities and six from the south of the province will join the Community, Blic writes, quoting well-informed sources. Both sides will be satisfied with the formula and as far as the EU is concerned, the agreement has been reached, the daily pointed out. The Blic’s source said that Pristina would be able to say that it had not made any concessions while Belgrade would be able to say that the Community of Serb Municipalities had gotten some powers. Pristina refuses to give new powers to the Serb municipalities while Belgrade wants more powers, so the issue will be discussed in the continuation of the talks. On the other hand, daily Danas writes that the two sides only agreed that the negotiations are coming to an end and that they are still looking for a solution for the key problem – powers of the community of Serb municipalities. Belgrade, Pristina and the EU also claim that yesterday’s visit of EU High Representative Catherine Ashton was only a preparation for the seventh round of the negotiations that will be held on March 20 in Brussels.
