NOVI SAD Additional elections for the Vojvodina assembly are being held in the municipalities of Apatin, Zrenjanin and Srbobran on Sunday. Members of the assembly from the three towns have resigned due to the conflict of interests bearing in mind that they are also mayors. Elections for Vojvodina assembly underway in three towns Citizens in Zrenjanin can vote for ten candidates from the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), Democratic Party (DS), Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), Serb Radical Party (SRS), League of Social-Democrats of Vojvodina (LSV), Dveri, Socialist Party of Serbia-Party of United Pensioners of Serbia-United Serbia-Social Democratic Party of Serbia coalition, Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS), People’s Farmers Party and a group of citizens. Eight candidates are in the race for a place in the assembly in Apatin while citizens of Srbobran can also vote for eight candidates. The Vojvodina assembly has 120 seats. 60 members are chosen in accordance with the proportional system while the other 60 are elected in accordance with the majority system. Citizens in Zrenjanin can vote for ten candidates from the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), Democratic Party (DS), Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), Serb Radical Party (SRS), League of Social-Democrats of Vojvodina (LSV), Dveri, Socialist Party of Serbia-Party of United Pensioners of Serbia-United Serbia-Social Democratic Party of Serbia coalition, Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS), People’s Farmers Party and a group of citizens.

Eight candidates are in the race for a place in the assembly in Apatin while citizens of Srbobran can also vote for eight candidates.
