BELGRADE This year can be a turning point for Serbia, Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) leader Vojislav Kostunica has stated. According to him, crucial issues, such as Serbia’s relations with the EU and Kosovo, will be solved in 2013. 2013 could represent “turning point” for Serbia The DSS leader told daily Vecernje novosti that it remained to be seen if “such a dramatic year” would lead to early elections. “Serbia will this year choose between the continuation of the disastrous European integration and a new national policy that would take care of interests of the country and people,” Kostunica noted. He explained that a platform for Kosovo, proposed by President Tomislav Nikolic, gave hope that a new, much more responsible state policy, that would be in the country’s best interest, could work instead of a policy of “Albanian separatists and their foreign protectors and mentors”. The DSS leader told daily Večernje novosti that it remained to be seen if “such a dramatic year” would lead to early elections.
