BELGRADE Prime Minister Ivica Dacic said on Saturday that it was not planned to send the state platform on Kosovo to parliament so MPs could discuss it. He also stressed that there were no differences between him and President Tomislav Nikolic. “Platform can be changed, won’t be sent to parliament” After a Main Board session of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), Dacic said that parliament would debate principles for the talks with Pristina and a final agreement once it had been agreed. “It was never a plan to send the platform to parliament, but basic principles. It is not realistic to start the talks with something and then have to change decisions of parliament every five days, this has never been the case,” he explained. Dacic noted that the continuation of the talks with Pristina would follow and that Belgrade would negotiate based on the principles presented in the platform but reiterated that the document was not final. When asked to comment on the beginning of the text in platform in which it is stated that the technical dialogue with Pristina should be suspended, the prime minister said that he “does not believe it is possible” and announced that this part of the document would be changed. Commenting on his relations with Nikolic, especially regarding the Kosovo issue, he said that there were no problems and that the platform was a joint document of the government and the president. Dacic denied allegations of certain media that he had an argument with Nikolic about the platform and stressed that the president had asked him to start the negotiations with Kosovo PM Hashim Thaci. Daily Danas reported earlier on Saturday that the platform would not be sent to either parliament or the government for adoption. Ivica Dacic (Tanjug, file) B92 Beta Tanjug
