BRUSSELS, BELGRADE EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule will arrive in Belgrade Wednesday to clarify details of the European Commission's annual report to Serbian officials. The annual report on the country's progress in EU integration will be handed to Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic by Head of the EU Delegation to Serbian Vincent Degert at 13:00 CET on Wednesday. EU enlargement commissioner to visit Belgrade Addressing the media via video link on Tuesday, Fule said that the enlargement process was still the vital part of the EU's policy, which he corroborated by saying that Croatia was on the threshold of joining the EU, that Montenegro had started the negotiations on EU accession, while Serbia had obtained the candidate status. Fule will present the report, which contains the EC's detailed assessment of progress in achieving European standards, to the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs on Wednesday afternoon, after which he will present it to accredited journalists. The EU official will on the same day visit Pristina so as to clarify the details of the report to Kosovo officials as well, his office released in a statement. According to parts of the report leaked to the public, Serbia will not get a date for the beginning of negotiations without making visible progress in normalization of relations with Kosovo. As journalists were told in Brussels on Tuesday, visible and sustainable progress in normalization of relations with Kosovo remains the main condition for opening EU accession negotiations with Serbia but concrete moves in this regard will be defined by the European Council.
