BELGRADE Serbia's top officials are drafting the platform that would define the format and topics of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, daily Vecernje novosti writes. According to the daily, the dialogue will be headed by the Serbian president and prime minister but chances are slim that the two sides would sit down to the negotiating table by the end of this year. Daily: Belgrade-Pristina talks won’t continue in 2012 The talks would be headed by Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic and Ivica Dacic, i.e. the team of people in whom they place great trust. The daily notes that in the coming months, the new government will try to secure a wide consensus on the continuation of the dialogue, and to put down on paper the guidelines for Serbia's future approach to that process, which should be then adopted by the government. The most important thing would be for Belgrade, Pristina, Brussels and Washington to determine the exact topics of the dialogue, Vecernje novosti reports. In fact, Nikolic and Dacic will be the ones to “open and close the dialogue”, while their advisers would negotiate with Pristina's team on telecommunications, electricity, northern Kosovo, the daily stressed.
