A protest rally was staged in northern Kosovska Mitrovica, at which representatives of opposition parties urged elections to be held in the province as well. The protesters also demanded that the Constitutional Court annuls all agreements reached so far during the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue in Brussels. Protest rally in north criticizes government The government was criticized for its policy towards Kosovo, which one of the protesters, official of the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) Marko Jaksic, qualified as "treason". In that light, Jaksic recalled the decision to remove barricades that were located on the territory of central Serbia near the Jarinje and Brnjak administrative crossings, putting the blame on Serbian Interior Minister Ivica Dacic. He called on the presidents of four municipalities in northern Kosovo to "take matters into their own hands" and to turn the outcome of the referendum (on acceptance of Kosovo institutions) into reality and prevent the existence of Kosovo border and customs. President of the Serb National Council for northern Kosovo Milan Ivanovic demanded that Belgrade called local elections in Kosovo and Metohija, recalling that this was done before without any problems. In that light, Jakšić recalled the decision to remove barricades that were located on the territory of central Serbia near the Jarinje and Brnjak administrative crossings, putting the blame on Serbian Interior Minister Ivica Dačić.

He called on the presidents of four municipalities in northern Kosovo to "take matters into their own hands" and to turn the outcome of the referendum (on acceptance of Kosovo institutions) into reality and prevent the existence of Kosovo border and customs.
