The Serbian Parliament's Committee on Kosovo only worked for a short while on Tuesday when it resumed Monday's meeting It will probably meet again on Monday after a new round of talks between Belgrade and Pristina. Committee on Kosovo postpones session again Committee Chairman Ljubomir Kragovic of the Serb Radical Party stopped the meeting after a heated debate in which opposition MPs demanded the meeting be postponed, because Belgrade's negotiating team has not delivered a written report on the results of the dialogue. Kragovic said the meeting will most likely resume next Monday, when government representatives are also expected to attend the debate on the results of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue. On Monday, the meeting was delayed twice and was later stopped after Minister for Kosovo Goran Bogdanovic delivered a report on the situation in the north of the province, where a confrontation broke out in the village of Jagnjenica when KFOR used force to remove roadblocks. The meeting was stopped at this point, since Kragovic did not give the floor to Borislav Stefanovic, the head of Belgrade's negotiating team in the dialogue with Pristina, saying he was obligated to deliver a written report to the committee prior to the meeting. Borislav Stefanovic and Goran Bogdanovic attend the session on Monday (Tanjug) "Opposition abusing Kosovo issue" Ruling DS party-led parliamentary group head Nada Kolundzija on Tuesday accused opposition Serb Radical Party (SRS) and Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) MPs of a political abuse of the issue of Kosovo and Metohija in the country's parliament. She also protested over the conduct of Chairman of the Serbian Parliament Committee on Kosovo and Metohija Ljubomir Kragovic (SRS), who did not allow head of the Belgrade team in the dialogue with Pristina Borislav Stefanovic to present the report on the latest round of the Kosovo talks. She said it was unacceptable that clearly defined rules and procedures for parliamentary committees were not being implemented by only one committee, because it was chaired by a member of the opposition who acts like the committee is "his personal business". The SRS, meanwhile, asked the government how it was possible that the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue which should continue on Wednesday was not suspended after yesterday's violence in northern Kosovo, as was the case after the violence in September. The DSS believes that yesterday's event in northern Kosovo was caused by the devastating policy of the government in Belgrade and President Boris Tadic, adding that the solutions accepted in the dialogue, which are not in line neither with the Serbian Constitution or the Resolution 1244, spoke in favor of that. New Serbia (NS) MPs asked Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic who authorized Borislav Stefanovic to negotiate on behalf of Serbia, "and who will be bound by what Stefanovic agrees upon, particularly if solutions are unfavorable for Serbia".
