"State policy on Kosovo not compromised"

Serbia's Deputy PM Ivica Dačić said Friday the state policy on Kosovo "has not been compromised", despite certain disagreements within the ruling coalition.

Serbia's Deputy PM Ivica Dacic said Friday the state policy on Kosovo "has not been compromised", despite certain disagreements within the ruling coalition. "It is best to agree whether those who have the same position on Kosovo could form a majority. I doubt it. Because everyone has a different position. This is not just about one issue of principle, it is about concrete solutions for which everyone has their own proposal," he told reporters. "State policy on Kosovo not compromised" The deputy prime minister stressed that the policy on Kosovo had not been compromised, but that the question arose how it would be possible to reconcile Serbia's European path with the protection of national and state interests in the future. Dacic said there had been no conflicts inside the government regarding agreements reached in the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina. “The government has not adopted any solutions which are not status neutral,” he pointed out. The deputy prime minister stressed that the policy on Kosovo had not been compromised, but that the question arose how it would be possible to reconcile Serbia's European path with the protection of national and state interests in the future.

Dačić said there had been no conflicts inside the government regarding agreements reached in the dialogue between Belgrade and Priština.

“The government has not adopted any solutions which are not status neutral,” he pointed out.
