Deputy RS President Emil Vlajki was today in Kosovska Mitrovica, northern Kosovo, where he was to meet with international representatives and local Serbs. Vlajki, who is Milorad Dodik's deputy in the Serb entity in Bosnia, told reporters on Tuesday that he would do all he can to make sure there were no ethnic Albanian customs and border police members at the Brnjak and Jarinje checkpoints. Deputy RS leader rallies spirits at barricades "I will try to do everything possible as I meet with international representatives and local leaders, in order to find the best way for your wishes to come true, was his message to the Serbs, who are protesting by maintaining road blocks in the north of the province. Vlajki specified that those wishes were that there be no ethnic Albanian customs and police at the checkpoints. Serbs today gathered at the barricades in Kosovska Mitrovica, Leposavic, Rudare and Zupce, as KFOR announced it had moved its deadline for their removal for Wednesday. "As helpless as your barricades are, your spirit and desire to survive here and for nobody to rule over you is something impressive that ought to be admired by the whole world," said Vlajki. The high ranking RS official, who is an ethnic Croat, added that he "found it strange that the world was watching without reacting to the taking of a territory and the destruction of a nation". "Your morale cannot be broken, but for what it's worth, and if needed - we will all stand at the barricades, and see what happens," Vlajki concluded.
