President Boris Tadic says he will not sign any unconstitutional "solution" that goes against the country's integrity. He was answering a reporter's question when he made the comment on Tuesday in Belgrade, referring to the process of the harmonizing of a draft law on public property. President "won't sign unconstitutional solution" Tadic added that he "welcomed the democratic dialogue of the government of Serbia and the Vojvodina government, but not any solutions that would violate the Constitution". The president warned that all solutions related to the law must be efficient and respect Serbia's integrity and constitutional and legal principles. "I will sign (into law) any solution that secures Serbia's integrity, but I will not sign any solution that endangers the integrity of the state," he said. The president's comments came a day after the government announced that it would send to parliament amendments to the draft - based on suggestions that came from Vojvodina's provincial administration and after consultations with relevant ministries. The amendments would be "automatically adopted", according to this. Previously on Monday in the country's parliament, MPs from the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians (SVM) and the League of Social-Democrats of Vojvodina (LSV) blocked the adoption of a draft law on railways, because their amendments seeking "certain rights" over the railway infrastructure in Vojvodina were not accepted. The parliament session lacked a quorum to proceed with the voting, and was eventually postponed. Boris Tadic (Tanjug)
