EU facilitator Robert Cooper has said that the two sides should focus on the talks but recommended that they take a vacation before resuming them. "We have a few points Pristina and Belgrade agreed on that were met with approval by the international community. KFOR Commander, General Erhard Buehler, who has been doing a very good job, acted with full support from the international community,” Cooper told Pristina-based Radio Kosovo. Belgrade, Pristina need “vacation before talks continue" He stressed it was best that everybody took a vacation and relaxed a little as it would be much easier to resume talks after that. He qualified the situation in the north as abnormal, noting that there are two embargos, one imposed by Pristina and the other by Belgrade. “This has to stop,” Cooper said. “The issues must be resolved with much more understanding and within a better legal framework. There are also other issues that should be dealt with. I believe this year's fall will be very productive when it comes to reaching an agreement. The agreement will be equally important for both Kosovo and Serbia,” the EU facilitator pointed out. When asked how he saw Kosovo's European perspective after the recent events, Cooper said that Kosovo still had a long way to go. The EU facilitator stated it was good that the Kosovo government was very active. “The more active their approach, the more positive the results will be,” Cooper stressed. Robert Cooper
