United Regions of Serbia (URS) leader Mladjan Dinkic says he would not join the government if the Democratic Party (DS) again named Mirko Cvetkovic PM-designate. He added that the best candidate for PM-designate would be Belgrade Mayor Dragan Djilas. URS leader talks elections The URS leader said he was interested in a coalition with the Social Democratic Party of Serbia (SDPS). He stressed that he would discuss it with SDPS leader Rasim Ljajic. “Ljajic is absolutely compatible with us I think that our victory in Bor shows that the winning team should not be changed,” Dinkic told daily Press. He stressed he expected a double-digit result in the elections and that he did not even think about forming the government with the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS). “Support to SNS official Goran Knezevic is a support to him personally. He was one of the best mayors in Serbia. I know him well, the URS’ doors will always be open for him,” Dinkic was quoted as saying. He added that he was disappointed with the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) reactions in parliament regarding the law on decentralization that was adopted at URS’ proposal and assessed that the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) was “frustrated” because the URS had better ratings.
