Ivica Dacic has called on opposition SNS leader Tomislav Nikolic to disclose the topics discussed during his meetings with Boris Tadic. According to Dacic - who heads the Socialists (SPS), allied with Tadic's Democrats (DS) in the current government - these meetings took place before Nikolic embarked on his hunger strike in mid-April. Leaders of Socialists and Progressives in war of words “The public should learn about the topics of talks between the two biggest parties, that took place four times already. Did they talk about Kosovo? I would like for the public to learn what the two leaders were talking about," the interior minister and deputy PM in the current cabinet told B92. Dacic added that he "did not know what Nikolic and Tadic discussed", but that “surely they did not talk about the weather”. Dacic also sent a message to Nikolic and Tadic that they "should not worry about SPS any longer, but focus on their own parties". He assessed that SNS and DS were concerned that the Socialists were "strengthening", and also about their possible future choice of a coalition partner. Nikolic reacted late on Wednesday by describing Dacic as "a hypocrite". Dacic should ask Tadic about the content of the meetings, said Nikolic, "because that's his coalition partner". “I don’t know why he is asking me about my actions; he should ask Tadic about that. He (Dacic) is not in a coalition with SNS, he has no deals with me. He has the president of Serbia, so he should ask him what he talks about with Nikolic,” the SNS leader told public broadcaster RTS. Nikolic - who's hunger strike came in a bid to force early elections - however went on to say that he discussed parliamentary elections issues with Tadic. He also advised Dacic to leave the government. “Dacic should find his own identity. There is room only for one Cedomir Jovanovic in Serbia, there is no room for more of him,” Nikolic concluded.
