Serbia supports Republic of Srpska (RS) democratic leadership and all decisions that it has made in accordance with the law, Serbian FM Vuk Jeremic has said. Commenting on the RS parliament's decision to call a referendum, Jeremic said that it was important to “calm the situation down“. Serbia supports RS, Serbian FM says “Decisions have been made and they are democratic and in accordance with the law. However, there is no need to add fuel to fire, instead we should be rational and united like we have been so far,“ Jeremic stressed. He pointed out that the entire region needed some sort of stability as a prerequisite for continuation of strategic European processes. “We have full understanding for the situation and everything is much clearer after these talks. There is no difference in positions in the strategic sense and the RS and Serbia have common visions and goals,“ said Jeremic after the meeting with RS President Milorad Dodik in Banja Luka. According to him, prosperity and stability of the RS and the entire Bosnia-Herzegovina is Serbia's important interest. The Serbian foreign minister added that Serbia's policy toward Bosnia-Herzegovina was unchanged and clear, pointing out that Serbia supported Bosnia-Herzegovina's territorial integrity and agreement between the three peoples and two entities.
