Defense Ministry answers EC questionnaire

The Serbian Defense Ministry has completed the part of the European Commission (EC) questionnaire regarding the defense sector. This will be the first time that the EC receives a detailed analysis of the Serbian defense system. Defense Ministry answers EC questionnaire The Defense Ministry was entrusted with answering seven questions and it also presented contributions for 46 more questions regarding engagement in the EU defense policy, the ministry said Friday. The contributions also pertain to regional cooperation, defense industry, fight against terrorism, cooperation in emergency situations, position of employees in the defense system, etc. The Serbian government is expected to adopt the answers to the entire questionnaire on January 31, 2011 and submit it to the EC which will use it to define its opinion on Serbia’s readiness to acquire the EU member candidate status.
