The president is accompanied with his personal security, while for the last couple of days the VMA building has been under increased security measures. Tadic has been ordered to rest for the next fifteen days, after which the cast should be taken off his leg. Even though he will leave the hospital soon, the first occasion where he is expected to appear in public after the surgery will be the Ambassadors Conference in Belgrade, on January 5. For the next two weeks Tadic will be resting, but his cabinet stated that this "will not prevent him from doing his presidential duties, and the bills sent by parliament will be signed". Yesterday, Tadic heard from his Croatian counterpart Ivo Josipovic, who was the first to call him and inquire about his health, wishing him a quick recovery. Immediately after came the calls from Milorad Dodik, the president of the Serb republic (RS), and Filip Vujanovic, the president of Montenegro.
