Minister for Kosovo and Metohija Goran Bogdanovic says there are "two realities in Kosovo", one south and the other north of the Ibar River. Bogdanovic stated for the Belgrade-based daily Politika on Wednesday that "the fact that Serbs south of the Ibar River took part in the (Kosovo) elections despite the recommendation of the Serbian government does not mean anything" as the Kosovo Albanian authorities in Pristina "aim to divide Kosovo Serbs in any possible way." Belgrade sees "two realities" in Kosovo "Pristina tried to take advantage of the elections to divide Serbs and integrate into the government only those that suit them," said the minister. He stressed that, according to the data, one cannot say that the majority of Serbs voted for the Independent Liberal Party (SLS). "If you steal, you can say that you won as much as you want, as it is known what happened in Strpce and Gracanica," Bogdanovic addressed election fraud allegations. Bogdanovic pointed out that Serbs south of the Ibar River live in an ethnic Albanian surrounding, and that, "whether they want to or not, they have to cooperate with the Albanian institutions". But, when it comes to the Serb-dominated north, the minister says that Serbs there "stick together and have no contact with the Kosovo institutions". As for the government in Belgrade, said Bogdanovic, it will "treat all Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija the same". Goran Bogdanovic (FoNet, file)
