“WikiLeaks won't reveal information on Mladić”

Serbian Labor Minister Rasim Ljajić stated on Friday that he had misgivings that WikiLeaks could reveal important information about whereabouts of Ratko Mladić.

Serbian Labor Minister Rasim Ljajic stated on Friday that he had misgivings that WikiLeaks could reveal important information about whereabouts of Ratko Mladic. “I am skeptical that certain important information could be made public. The data that have been revealed so far refer to talks with officials and impressions about certain politicians rather than concrete information on Mladic,” the minister, who is the president of the National Council for Cooperation with the Hague Tribunal, said. “WikiLeaks won't reveal information on Mladic” Answering journalists' questions after the ceremonial opening of the premises the National Organization of Disabled Persons in Belgrade, Ljajic said that he believed that nothing spectacular could happen regarding the arrest of Mladic apart from publishing certain impressions and officials' statements related to the case. “The fact that the arrest of Mladic is always in reach but never realized does not imply that the state is weak, but that it faces serious obstacles in the process,” he pointed out. “It is a fact that Mladi’ is successfully hiding in spite of our cooperation with numerous security services, regional countries and the EU,” the labor minister said, and recalled that Serbia showed absolute political will and was successful in search for many other Hague Tribunal indictees. Apart from Mladic, the Serbian authorities have launched an intensive search for Serb Autonomous District (SAO) of Slavonia, Baranja and Western Srem PM and former president of the Republic of Srpska Krajina Goran Hadzic. Answering journalists' questions after the ceremonial opening of the premises the National Organization of Disabled Persons in Belgrade, Ljajić said that he believed that nothing spectacular could happen regarding the arrest of Mladić apart from publishing certain impressions and officials' statements related to the case.

“The fact that the arrest of Mladić is always in reach but never realized does not imply that the state is weak, but that it faces serious obstacles in the process,” he pointed out.

“It is a fact that Mladi’ is successfully hiding in spite of our cooperation with numerous security services, regional countries and the EU,” the labor minister said, and recalled that Serbia showed absolute political will and was successful in search for many other Hague Tribunal indictees.

Apart from Mladić, the Serbian authorities have launched an intensive search for Serb Autonomous District (SAO) of Slavonia, Baranja and Western Srem PM and former president of the Republic of Srpska Krajina Goran Hadžić.
