Serbian Defense Minister Dragan Šutanovac has stated that Serbia should make a strong political shift toward the EU.

Serbian Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac has stated that Serbia should make a strong political shift toward the EU. He says that this was his motive to launch an initiative for participation of Serbian troops in the EU peacekeeping missions worldwide. Sutanovac stressed that Serbia should move toward the EU in all fields, including the field of defense, and to adjust its standards to the EU standards. He also added that U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and EU officials he had spoken to in Brussels had praised Serbia for its development of defense system which would be one the main aspects in Serbia's EU integration process.
