ICJ opinion on Kosovo in July?

International sources in Pristina said that the International Court of Justice would give its opinion on the legality of Kosovo’s independence on July 22. According to the sources cited by Pristina dailies Koha Ditore and Express, the ICJ will be finalizing its decision in July. ICJ opinion on Kosovo in July? The Kosovo Foreign Ministry stated that it did not receive confirmation of this from the ICJ, but did not deny “the possibility of the opinion being published in July.” “There is no official information and because of this, I cannot said when the ICJ will announce its opinion,” Foreign Ministry advisor Qerim Qerimi told Express. The dailies reminded that Pristina “expects that the opinion of the court will be in Kosovo’s favor, and Pristina the number of countries recognizing Kosovo’s independence to increase after the court’s opinion has been given.” The dailies also stated that Belgrade is expected to call for new talks regarding Kosovo’s status after the ICJ opinion is made public.
