Serbian, German police announce cooperation

Interior Minister Ivica Dacic and German Federal Criminal Police Office Vice-President Jurgen Stock met on Tuesday in Belgrade. They discussed joint projects of the two police forces and announced they would sign a cooperation agreement in the near future. Serbian, German police announce cooperation Dacic and Stock assessed that cooperation with EULEX in Kosovo and Metohija needs to improve in the coming period, the Serbian Interior Ministry said in a statement. During the meeting, Dacic expressed satisfaction that the operational cooperation between the two police services has helped close multiple cases related to narcotics trade, illegal migration and money laundering. He thanked Germany for supporting the reform process in Serbia and donating large quantities of equipment needed to expand the capacities of the Serbian Interior Ministry. Stock stressed that the Serbian Interior Ministry is the German police's key partner in the region. Crime in the region is tied to international criminal structures and it is important that the Serbian police is a leader in regional cooperation, because we can stop organized crime only if we work together, Stock said.
