Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic met in Belgrade on Monday with his Gabonese countepart Paul Toungui. Jeremic thanked Gabon for its support to Serbia in regards to the issue of Kosovo and Metohija, announcing that the bilateral relations between the two countries are entering a new, better quality, phase. Jeremic meets with Gabonese counterpart “It is not easy to support Serbia. Countries worldwide are under pressure to give up the support. Gabon was also under pressure, but did not give in, and that is why we are grateful,” Jeremic told a joint news conference. Toungui said that his country supports the principle of solving problems within the United Nations and, in particular, the principle of non-interference in internal affairs of other states. The two ministers evaluated today's meeting as very successful, announcing concrete projects in the areas of agriculture and pharmaceutical industry.
