The government yesterday accepted the Ministry of Foreign Affair’s request to appoint Zdravko Ponoš as assistant minister.

The government yesterday accepted the Ministry of Foreign Affair’s request to appoint Zdravko Ponos as assistant minister. The retired general was the chief of the general staff of the Serbian Army (VS) until late 2008, when he was replaced over a public disagreement with Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac. Former Army chief joins MFA He will now be Vuk Jeremic’s assistant for bilateral cooperation. Ponos retired from active military service with a presidential decree on December 31, 2009.
