The acting head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia pointed out the importance of cooperation between police and media in order to promote the work of MUP. “The police in Serbia need to engage the media in order to promote their work and improve the way they are perceived by the community,” Thomas Moore said on Friday. "Police, media cooperation important" He attended a conference in Belgrade along with Interior Minister Ivica Dacic to mark the completion of a three-day training course on public relations and communication, facilitated by the OSCE in Serbia and the Interior Ministry's Bureau for Public Relations and Media, aimed at enhancing professional standards and improving police communication with citizens. Moore underscored that for their part, the media rely on accurate and timely information provided by the police, the OSCE Mission in Serbia said in a statement. “This training course supports police professionalism and gives participants the knowledge and skills necessary to communicate effectively with the media,” said Moore. Moore expressed hope that this is just the beginning of many similar events that will jointly be organized in the future.
