A Jat Airways Boeing 737-300 skidded off the runway this morning in Istanbul; all passengers and crew are safe. Turkish officials announced that all 125 passengers and six crew members were "safely evacuated". Rainy weather is blamed for the accident, while local media are reporting that the aircraft was damaged. In Belgrade, Jat Airways issued a statement saying that no one was injured "in this minor accident". The Istanbul-bound plane took off from Belgrade this morning, while the accident happened at 11:25 CET.
