The constitutive meeting of the assembly of the Belgrade municipality f Vozdovac was postponed again Wednesday. Early local polls there were held on June 7. Belgrade municipality session postponed The deadline for selecting chief officials of the municipality is August 14, which has also been set as the new date for the session to continue, and if the local administration is not constituted by then, elections will be repeated. No parties have yet to been able to form a coalition with the needed majority of 29 councilors. The Serb Progressive Party (SNS) has 18 seats, the coalition gathered around the Democratic Party (DS) has 17, the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS)-New Serbia (NS) coalition has seven, the coalition gathered around the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) has six, the Serbian Radical Party (SRS) and Liberal Democratic Party have three each and Rasim Ljajic’s List for Tolerance has two seats. The Democrats called on the DSS on Tuesday once again to form the government with them, while the Progressives urged the Socialists to do the same. New Serbia (NS) Vice President Dubravka Filipovski, whose party is in coalition with the DSS, said on Tuesday that there is no chance of an agreement with the Democrats, and called on the SPS to form the government in Vozdovac as it was formed in the Belgrade municipality of Zemun. SPS official Savo Skundric said on Tuesday that the party “is for now sticking to its agreement with its coalition partners on the city and state level (DS)". The local assembly session ended on Monday after the verification of mandates for the new councilors, after SNS, DS and SRS officials did not return to the meeting following a recess.
