Dusan Reljic of the German Institute for International Relations says an EU-Dutch deal on partial, gradual promulgation of the Interim Agreement is possible. In an interview with daily Danas, Reljic says that it is possible for the EU and Holland to agree over a “creative“ diplomatic solution for Serbia, that will allow all sides involved to save face. "EU-Dutch compromise is possible" “Right now, the majority of EU states want the Interim Trade Agreement with Serbia to enter force. Those hints are also coming from the U.S. It’s not in the EU’s interests for her relations with Serbia to be indefinitely blocked,“ he said “Neither Kosovo, Bosnia, nor even Macedonia, are progressing towards permanent stability sufficiently quickly, so foreign actors, primarily the EU which sees itself as the most important force for long-term stability in South-East Europe, need better cooperation with Belgrade,“ Reljic surmised.
