France believes it is necessary for the EU to abolish its visa regime toward Serbia as soon as possible, this country's ambassador to Belgrade says. "France is strongly in favor of canceling of visas to Serbia as soon as possible," Jean Francois Terral told Beta news agency on Sunday, and added that he believed progress had been made in solving the technical aspects related to the issue, while "what remains can be done". Terral reminded that during Tadic's recent visit to France, Deputy PM Bozidar Djelic met with French ministers for immigration and European issues. "Technical details were considered then, and France stressed how much in favor of the visa abolishment it is."
